My client, based in the southern suburbs of Cape Town, is urgently looking for a Data Engineer to join their dynamic organisation.

Role: Manager: Data Engineer

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development
Relevant experience in designing and implementing data processing systems
In-depth undertaking of database concepts and principles
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technique

Skills:

Writing SQL queries and administering SQL databases
Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript or Python software systems design and architecture
Problem-solving and analytics skill
Statistical & data analysis skills

What You’ll Do:

Design and develop software systems, with a focus on the companies systems
Develop systems and reports to allow the analysis of data, and produce reports and visualisations, to facilitate effective campaigning and reasoned decision-making
Manage the processing and storing of data from various systems and teams, keeping in mind reliability, security and privacy
