Our Group Practice at Nurture Alberton in Gauteng is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their team.

Minimum Salary: R28 569,34 Cost to Company (including benefits)

REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

• BSc Occupational Therapy / Occupational Therapy (community year completed)
• Registered with HPCSA (independent practitioner) and Malpractice Insurance
• Maintain CPD standing as required by HPCSA
• Bobath / NDT training is beneficial
• Basic / Intermediate wheelchair training is beneficial
• Experience in Neurology, Cognitive therapy and Spinal cord injuries
• Broad experience including orthopaedics, spinal cord injury and neurology
• Valid driver’s license with own transport and be willing to conduct regular home/work site visits
• Special interest/expertise within neurology

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Knowledge of the ICF Framework with good written and spoken English language skills
• Effective interdisciplinary team member
• Awareness of evidence base for interventions
• Computer literacy (Beginner/intermediate Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook)
• Experience coordinating projects, people, or services.
• Ability to supervise and guide less experienced team members
• Extensive knowledge regarding clinical practice in physical rehabilitation
• To foster therapeutic relationships in the inter-disciplinary team by developing joint goals, sharing information, and promoting a collaborative approach to patient and family care and outcomes.
