My client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

This role requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, providing essential support to maintain the financial health of the organization.

This role is based in Brooklyn, Pretoria East.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Responsibilities:
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end audit files, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
- Analyze accounts and financial information to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Prepare VAT calculations and returns, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Account Management:
- Compile and prepare monthly management reports, providing critical insights to the finance team.
- Produce financial reports related to budgets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expenses.
- Review, monitor, and manage budgets, offering recommendations to optimize financial performance.
Further Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end calculations and reconciliations, ensuring all financial records are precise.
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time.
- Manage annual calculations, including rates and refuse escalations.

Education and Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles.
Proven experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel and MDA.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
