Purpose of Role:
Provide Legal Services and ensure compliance within the company and group companies in SSA.
Brief description of the position
Provide Legal Services to the company and group companies in SSA
Provide assistance and advise in the drafting of contracts
Perform company secretarial duties and ensure that all statutory requirements are complied with
Draft company resolutions when required
Provide guidance on the submission of tenders to avoid conflict of interest situations
Liaise with the company’s external lawyers where necessary
Provide guidance regarding legislation affecting the company
Review current contracts and amend where necessary
Be the lead and ensure compliance with the POPI Act
Ensure compliance with company Group policies
Provide compliance training to employees
Comply with and enforce all company policies and procedures, as well as carry your duties in a manner which conforms to current Health and Safety legislation, upholding company Health and Safety Policy
Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time
Assist fellow employees with daily functions as and when required

Candidate Requirements
Education:LLB Degree or equivalent
Experience:
Completed articles and 2 years Commercial experience
Requirements:
Computer Literacy – Essential
Self-motivated and professional
Analytical and numeracy skills
Good communications skills
Concern for confidentiality
Ability to work under pressure
