They are looking for a junior draughtsman to collaborate closely with design and production teams, ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality, manufacturable products

Team Collaboration: Work closely with design and engineering teams to ensure drawings align with the design intent and production requirements
Technical Drawing Development: Create detailed, precise technical drawings based on 3D models, optimized for efficient manufacturing
Cost Estimate (QCE) and BOM Management: Prepare and manage costing sheets (QCE) and bills of materials (BOMs) to support budgeting and resource allocation for projects
Material and Process Specifications: Recommend suitable materials and production methods, balancing cost-effectiveness with quality standards
Prototype and Production Support: Support the prototyping process to help refine and finalize design details
Documentation Maintenance: Maintain organized, accurate technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications
Attention to Detail: Ensure a high level of precision by adhering closely to all specifications
Adaptability: Exhibit strong time management, multitasking skills, and a proactive approach to ongoing learning and improvement
 
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience producing 2D and 3D drawings in a Production environment
Proficiency in Autocad, SolidWorks and/or Rhino
 
Qualification:
Matric
Draughting Certificate
 
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
