Hire Resolve is seeking a qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our client's team in Cape Town.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced QS to contribute to various high-profile projects in the construction industry. The Senior QS will be responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying services on projects, ensuring that financial and contractual objectives are met.

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
Conduct detailed measurements and cost analysis for projects.
Oversee procurement processes and manage supplier contracts.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and procedures.
Assist in the preparation and negotiation of claims and variations.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain effective communication.
Provide mentorship and leadership to junior quantity surveying staff.
Identify risks and develop cost-effective strategies for mitigation.

Requirements

BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, FIDIC) and procurement methods.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
A proven track record of managing large projects effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
