Hire Resolve's Client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their Brick manufacturer company in South Africa. The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for ensuring that equipment and machinery operate efficiently and effectively within the facility.

This position involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosing faults, and executing repairs on various types of machinery. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical background, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair work on all types of machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Ensure that all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and repairs conducted.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to optimize operational performance.
• Comply with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Participate in installations of new equipment and machinery as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter or similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform accurate work.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.
• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic welding skills would be an advantage.
