The Department of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies invite suitably qualified candidates to join their team.
Main Objectives
- Previous secretarial and administrative experience within a computerized administrative environment.
- Computer literacy: having a sound knowledge and understanding of word-processing and spreadsheets, including the ability to use email and the Internet.
- Previous experience in setting up and maintaining filing and administrative systems.
- Previous experience in working with budgets, reconciling budgets and monitoring expenditure is essential.
- Experience on website administration will be an advantage.

Remuneration per annum:
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R251,544.00
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R350,516.00
Rhodes University has a vaccination mandate as part of its Conditions of Service. The implementation of the vaccine mandate has been held in abeyance from 01 January 2023.
