TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1,005,233 PER ANNUM (Senior Digital Writer) / BASIC SALARY: R499 822 PER ANNUM (Digital Writer) ● FPR 39/24
Requirements:
- Relevant three-year tertiary qualification
- Senior digital writer: At least eight (8) years' relevant experience in digital writing/marketing or content management, including managing and publishing content on Microsoft SharePoint (or an enterprise web content management equivalent), and experience in mailer and survey management software.
- Digital writer: At least four (4) years’ writing content for the web with two (2) years managing and publishing content on Microsoft SharePoint (or enterprise web content management equivalent)
- Experience in using multiple content management systems and SEO
- Excellent English writing, editing and proofreading skills; original copywriting, rewriting or editing in respect of grammar, spelling and punctuation. Ability to write in Afrikaans and/or isiXhosa an advantage
- Experience in image editing software, HTML for web content formatting and web page upload
- Working knowledge of managing metadata and applying editorial principles
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent).
Key performance areas:
- Perform web writing, editing, technical writing, proofreading and uploading of content and digital assets such as photographs, videos, documents and / or multimedia
- Manage content creation for campaigns or projects from brief to completion, liaising with clients and vendors as necessary, and ensure all signed off prior to publishing or upload. (Senior Digital Writer)
- Assist in content creation, project development and execution, and ensure all signed off prior to publishing or upload (Digital Writer)
- Attend to feedback or queries received and correct information-related issues Review, edit and advise on user experiences on digital platforms and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Manage, review and update governance practices, and documentation for digital channels and editorial management
- Perform other digital-related work, including image editing, video management, mailer publishing, document branding, tagging and uploading, communication sending and tracking, form and survey building.
