Our client is seeking a highly skilled and qualified Accountant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be registered with either AGA (Associate General Accountant), SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants), or SAICA (South African Institute of Chartered Accountants) and, if possible, also be a registered Tax Practitioner. The role requires strong expertise in financial statement compilation & signing off financial statements, payroll, VAT, and compliance with both monthly and annual client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile and sign off financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Manage the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Handle monthly payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Maintain accurate financial records for monthly and annual clients, providing regular updates and reports.
• Assist clients with annual returns and other statutory submissions.
• Provide tax-related advice and assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns (if a registered Tax Practitioner).
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.
• Liaise with clients to ensure financial records are up-to-date and provide guidance on financial best practices.
