Hire Resolve is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join a well-established Chemical Manufacturing firm in Durban. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the mechanical maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical technicians, providing guidance and expertise in maintenance practices.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve reliability and efficiency of equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of machinery to identify maintenance needs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

• Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Millwright trade test.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical supervision, preferably within the chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and conveyor systems.
• Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Proficient in maintenance management software and data analysis.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
