Roles & Responsibilities:Perform and monitor all activities required in the Job Summary; Specifically:

Prepare work to be assembled (Gather parts, tools and any other material required).
Reading and comprehending instructions and following established procedures.
Fit, assemble, and test goods according to importance or as instructed.
Familiarise yourself with the production procedures pertaining to assembly.
Complete and sign all relevant columns on MIR’s regarding motor and Gearboxes which will be kept in the contracts file.
Masking of goods which are to be sent for lining.
Straightening of Shafts and recording the readings onto the required document
Handing the shaft straightening records on a monthly basis to the SHEQ Coordinator for record keeping purposes .
Identify defects and report such defects.
Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs.
Assist in loading and offloading of vehicles.
Occasional packing of goods.
Familiarise yourself and use the assembly KANBAN system.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Assist Works Manager as required / directed by him.
Take special note on the points contained in the fitter responsibility acknowledgement form.

General:

Comply to IMS procedures, policies, and specifications otherwise the necessary actions will be taken to address any areas of concern.
Comply to instructions noted in company Memo’s.
Comply to general health and safety instructions given to you by company Management.

Authorities

Stop work in any unsafe condition, however, refer the concerns to the WORKS Manager or Foreman for rectification
