Do you have a passion for the waste management industry and have demonstrated a proactive approach to delivering excellent customer service? A Sustainable Waste Management company based in Cape Town requires an independent Sales Executive who will develop and grow their own customer base by sourcing new business and negotiating contracts. This role will be for an individual seeking long-term company growth and building a committed relationship with their customers. You will be responsible for managing the Western Cape region for client renewals, increases and adhering to relevant systems / policies / procedures to provide satisfactory service.

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12, relevant qualification highly advantageous
Sales Or Marketing Related Qualification [Advantageous]
Computer Literacy
Min 5 Years Sales Experience in the Waste Industry
Tender Compilation Experience
Strong Customer Liaison Skills
Negotiation, Planning and Organisational Skills
Strong Knowledge of Sustainable Waste Management
Valid Driver’s License

DUTIES

Assist management with segmenting the market and identifying prospective clients
Use marketing tools to approach prospective clients following a priority agreed with management
Attend industry networking events
Associate with industry and other media and follow trends and best practice
Prepare quotes to prospects and follow up
Follow up and close quotes
Regular liaison with clients to ensure their satisfaction with the company’s service
Encourage customer retention and customer loyalty
Capture all required information at key points in the customer life cycle
Work closely with all departments to ensure the CRM system works effectively for all aspects of the company
Conduct face-to-face visits with all clients, at least once every 3-months
Communicate effectively with the management of the company
Obtain and follow-up on possible new leads / referrals and quote as required
Provide feedback to the managers meeting on service ratings from clients monthly
Communicate effectively with the operations managers
Escalate any concerns or queries to the relevant person, if necessary
Create reports that include percentages / recycling numbers of clients, their feedback from the service ratings and as well as complaints and compliments
Communicate with staff on site about their wellbeing and provide feedback on staff morale to operations managers and admin manager
Ensure that client escalations are implemented on an annual basis or as necessary
Communicate with operations with regards to annual increases pertaining to costings
Monitor operations in terms of efficiencies and give input to the operations managers and owner where necessary
Assist operations, where possible and within reasonable boundaries
Monitor company performance against service level agreements and flag potential issues
Attend, plan, and support the company’s events or other related expos / functions

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
