Job Description:
As the Financial Accountant, your duties could include the following:
Forward bi-weekly age analysis to the Head of Finance and relevant Department managers
Report and escalate critical issues and variances
Manage the month-end process and conduct pre-checks for internal reviews
Fixed asset register maintenance
Compile monthly internal review files with commentary for submission
Drive efficiencies and ensure accountability
Support the general ledger process and post journal entries
Compile VAT reports and prepare supporting files for submission
Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Prepare weekly bank account reconciliations and submit to management for review
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations at month-end
Monthly revaluation of creditors and debtors
Process and load OPEX-related payments
Calculate and post monthly journal entries
Capture ad hoc and HR invoices to supplier accounts
Reconcile creditors statements
 
Skills & Experience:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge and experience on IFRS reporting
Ability to drive accounting processes and provide complete and accurate reporting

Qualification:
Relevant Finance or Accounting degree
Grade 12 (Matric)
