Duties:

Troubleshooting
Inspecting and testing vehicles
Diagnostics
Servicing and repairs to:
Ø Diesel engines
+ Overhauls
ª Completing preventive maintenance
ª Engine tune-ups
ª Oil changes
Ø Braking systems
Ø Turbo chargers
Ø Fuel injectors
Ø Pumps etc
· Perform breakdown repairs
· Responsible for the service and maintenance of all equipment and machinery
· Maintain diesel equipment by completing inspections and preventive maintenance
· Correcting vehicle deficiencies
· Adjusting and aligning
· Keeping accurate records of all vehicles

Requirements:

· Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Tested)
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience
· Must be experienced in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software
· Experience with conducting inspections and running diagnostic tests to identify worn and damaged parts
· In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms:
· Excellent knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
· Valid driver’s license
· Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
