Purpose
To provide full technical and administrative support to the Technologists. The successful candidate should contribute towards the achievement of our department and business objectives and have high energy levels required for a fast-paced, exciting and dynamic retail environment
Duties and Responsibilities
- Measuring all apparel samples
- Conducting fit sessions and sign-off on fits, PP’s and Shipments
- Issue graded specs to suppliers for all styles
- Ensuring PLM remains updated with all determined blocks, tolerances and grade rules
- Manage and improve garment quality standards
- Liaise with suppliers regarding fits and grading of styles under development
- Implementing a QC tracking tool
- Report on customer returns
- Liaising with DC/QC teams on approvals and quality issues
- Liaising with the K-way factory team on approvals and quality issues.
- Quality control checks against samples and approved fits
- Creation of seasonal tech packs
- Local supplier visits and quality audits
- Solution driven investigation into quality queries
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Tertiary clothing/textile/garment construction qualification
- 3+ years’ experience
- A valid driver’s license required
- Experience working in a sports or technical clothing retail environment is advantageous
- A working knowledge of the latest Microsoft package is required
- Medium to high level of Excel experience is advantageous
- A working knowledge of garment/pattern construction is essential
- Working experience with product management software (centric PLM) is advantageous
