Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Materials Manager to join their team in the mining industry in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of materials and supplies at our mining site. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee the materials management team, ensuring efficient operations and timely delivery of supplies to various departments.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce material waste.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
• Monitor and analyze materials usage, forecast future needs, and create procurement plans accordingly.
• Implement and maintain a comprehensive materials tracking system to monitor inventory levels, track material movements, and generate reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all materials management activities.
• Train and mentor materials management staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, preferably in the mining industry.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with proven experience in managing a team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain best practices.
• Proficiency in using materials management software and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in supply chain management or materials management is a plus.
