Hire Resolve is excited to present an opportunity for a Storeroom Manager in the food production industry, located in the beautiful Hermanus region. This role entails managing storeroom operations, overseeing inventory management, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the storeroom, including receiving, storage, and distribution of food products.
• Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and stock levels.
• Implement and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in compliance with health regulations.
• Coordinate with production staff to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
• Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock takes to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Develop and implement effective systems to improve the efficiency of storeroom operations.
• Train and supervise storeroom staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Handle procurement activities and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Generate reports on inventory status and storeroom operations to senior management.
• Work closely with quality assurance to ensure all food safety and quality standards are met.

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or similar
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the food production industry
• Strong understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and inventory management software
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
