Our client in Pretoria is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a Matric certificate and a Diploma in Accounting or Finance (advantageous), along with a minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. REQUIREMENTS:

Matric
Diploma in Accounting or Finance (advantageous)
Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines consistently

DUTIES:

Monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries
Cashbooks
Preparation of month-end payments
Check purchase orders to creditors invoices
Ensure bank statements, payments and transactions are allocated
Ensure that all petty cash expenses checked and captured
Petty Cash count, reconciliation and processing
Performing bookkeeping duties such as recording, posting and processing day to day financial transactions and to perform related reconciliations
Preparation of month end and year end journals
Capturing of invoices and make sure it gets allocated to the correct GL codes with correct VAT category
Assist with month end closing procedures

HOURS:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
