The incumbent will be responsible for internal and external customer services and adherence to customer specific requirements related to IATF
16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001: 2015, ISO 45001:2018 and Company Responsible Care system relevant to this position are adhered to
and other relevant quality standards.
 
 

Duties will include the following:
 
Management of the production process to ensure resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.
Drawing up a production schedule that satisfies the customers demand and re-adjusting it where and when required.
Manage and motivate the members of the Liquids Production Plant, Liquids pre-weigh and Powders Production Plant sections.
Ensuring that the production is productive, efficient and cost effective
Ensuring the production occurs as per the BOM and method of manufacture.
HR training, development and mentorship including oversee the training and mentoring of new and existing employees as guided by Plant Management.
Ensure agreed KPI’s are met or exceeded.
Interface and liaise with production planning, goods inwards, technical/QC, customer care and warehousing/distribution.
Initiate and drive continuous improvement projects.
Assure departmental compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
Participate in the development of quality and environmental objectives, targets, programmes and periodically review as and when required.
Always keep the working place and the surrounding areas clean and tidy – 5S Methodology.
Adherence to the Responsible Care program the requirements thereof as stipulated by Plant Management.
Liaise with Warehouse & Distribution to improve communication and reduce bottlenecks.
Analysis of yield and first-time pass rate and improvement thereof.
Recording of work, sick leave, annual leave, absenteeism, etc. for production.
All the above in line with the Safety, Health & Environment & Quality management system.
To perform all processes in compliance to the OHS Act and legal requirements and use the relevant safety apparel.
To follow and understand the SOP’s, SWIs and WI’s applicable to the Liquids Production Plant, Liquids pre-weight and Powder Production Plant departments.
Allocate responsibilities to the Section Supervisor’s as and when necessary.
Adherence to customer specific requirements, ensure requirements and input related to IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001: 2015, ISO 45001:2018 and Company Responsible Care system relevant to this position are adhered to
