Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring efficient financial operations, compliance, and best practices.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team to support business objectives and growth.
- Oversee cash flow management, investment strategies, and risk management practices.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, staying updated on local and international financial regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (CPA, CFA, ACCA) are essential.
- Proven experience (around 8+ years) in a senior financial management role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
- Knowledge of Botswana’s financial regulations and practices is a plus.
