What you will be doing:
- Oversee essential tasks like check-ins, check-outs, guest communications, and coordination with cleaning and maintenance staff to ensure smooth property management.
- Act as a dedicated expert for each property, handling them as if they were your own and conducting regular inspections to maintain guest satisfaction.
- Take initiative in solving issues, refining processes, and finding ways to elevate service for guests and clients.
- Work towards enhancing guest experiences and setting the company apart from competitors with innovative service ideas.
- Enjoy a high degree of autonomy, where your ideas and enthusiasm can make a significant impact on the business.
- This position does not follow traditional office hours and will give you the flexibility to manage your own calendar.
What you need:
- Prior experience in hotels or short-term rental property management is essential.
- Embrace challenges with a flexible, "jack-of-all-trades" mindset, using creativity to solve unexpected issues.
- Highly observant, with a need to understand how things work and ensure they run smoothly.
- Comfortable with technology and open to suggesting new tech solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Excellent articulation in both written and verbal communication, with strong grammar and spelling.
- Anticipate and resolve issues proactively, making improvements to prevent repeat occurrences.
- Maintains a positive outlook in challenging situations, assertively pursuing goals and bringing energy to the team.
- Highly organised with a friendly, sociable demeanour; adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- Ready to roll up sleeves and get involved directly, demonstrating a robust work ethic.
- Own transport is required.
Bonus points for any of the following:
- Proven experience working in a successful startup environment.
- Strong operational skills, with a knack for handling logistics and processes.
- Based in or near the central business district / Atlantic Seaboard area.
- Knowledge of short-term rental management and familiarity with property management software (e.g., Airbnb).
- Proficient in using Trello, Asana, and Notion for organising and managing tasks.
