Hire Resolve is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to join a dynamic conveyor manufacturing company based in Centurion. This role is pivotal in overseeing production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Pulleys department’s operations and full functions.
• Report directly to top management (Directors).
• Initiate and lead meetings for new projects/orders to determine specific job requirements and scheduling.
• Generate production and costings reports.
• Follow up daily on:
• Supervision and scheduling of all production activities.
• Work in progress related to supplier and subcontractor orders.
• Work on the factory floor.
• Daily QC activities in the factory and at subcontractors.
• Maintenance and monitoring of Health and Safety (QMS 9001:2015).
• Maintenance of the quality system and compilation of data books for specific projects.
• Digital production schedules for multiple projects with assistance from material controller and production planner.
• Manage at least 50 employees across various levels, requiring:
• A positive but strict management style.
• A balance between positive engagement and necessary discipline.
• Supervision of engineering, drafting, planning, and admin staff.
• Oversight of employees ranging from laborers to qualified tradesmen.
• Strong communication and positive relationships with foremen and supervisors as a non-negotiable priority.
• Training of lower-level management and staff as needed (on-the-job training).
• Ongoing evaluation of employee performance and productivity.
• Knowledge of Metal Industry Bargaining Council (MEIBC) is advantageous.

• Qualified Trade
• Production Management tertiary education highly advantageous
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a production management role within the Steel fabrication and Machining.
• Strong understanding of production processes and methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in production planning tools and software.
• Knowledge of safety and quality management standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
