POSITION ADVERTISEMENT : Quality Manager               

This position will oversee quality control and assurance, ensuring products / services meet high standards. This role requires managing the Quality Management System (QMS) and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

• Maintain and improve ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Lead initiatives for ongoing quality enhancements across the organization.
• Collaborate with line management to set priorities for factory improvements.
• Implement QMS procedures, ensuring compliance and reducing customer complaints.
• Develop policies to identify and mitigate risks in various departments.
• Manage responses to complaints, including containment actions and root cause analysis.
• Track and report on quality metrics regularly in conjunction with the Supplier Quality Assurance function.
• Preparation of annual audit schedule as per QMS requirements.
• Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies.
• Verify corrective and preventive actions and initiate actions to close out the Non-Conformance Report's raised during the internal and external audits.
• Responsible for the periodic internal audits to verify the QMS system is implemented.
• Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing) and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures.
• Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns in new customer contracts.
• Report against agreed quality metrics monthly and in conjunction with the Supplier Quality Assurance function.
• Reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on the Quality area
• Train in all aspects of the Health & Safety environment and Quality system and application procedures.
• Manage Quality team in sign off of parts and the resolution of internal / external quality concerns.
