Our client is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage their financial operations and contribute to their strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts, including creditors, debtors, reconciliations, and cash management.
- Prepare financial reports for the CEO and Board on a monthly and annual basis.
- Develop and enforce financial policies and internal controls.
- Conduct cash flow forecasting and ensure financial stability.
- Oversee payroll for all staff when necessary.
- Ensure timely statutory submissions and compliance with regulations.
- Facilitate year-end audits and prepare annual budgets.
- Collaborate with management to enhance financial performance.
- Relevant Finance Qualification
- 5 to 8 years of experience as a Financial Accountant or Bookkeeper.
- Essential: Payroll experience.
- Essential: Proficiency in Sage Evolution.
- Valid driver’s license; own transport is advised.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Personal attributes: reliable, ethical, motivated, honest, and passionate about finance.
- Valid RSA ID.
