Mission/Job Purpose:
Develop and manage the sales process with a hands-on approach. Act as part of the management team to make sure the company delivers professional solutions and exceed customer expectations, in order to maximize customer satisfaction and financial performance.
Main Responsibilities or Functions of Job:
Responsible for managing the sales team (direct and indirect sales channels). To develop and grow the Electric compressor sales business:
Manage, motivate and develop both direct and indirect sales channels in order to maximize sales of the complete range of available products and offerings.
Achieve set targets for NETT invoiced sales and profitability for both direct and indirect sales channels.
Gather, utilize and manage business intelligence data in order to capture the full potential of each market under their responsibility.
Ensure outstanding competence in the area of equipment sales and marketing and to continuously improve and further educate both direct and indirect sales teams, by identifying training requirements and by coordinating training activities as required.
Steer marketing activities utilizing proactive sales management principals.
Build relationships with the most significant key accounts in the region.
Accompany the sales team members and support them on sales calls.
Ensure that staff comply with all Company Procedures and Policies in the execution of their duties.
Manage the company CRM system – loading of leads, compiling reports and system maintenance.
Registering of all new units sold on the OEM portal
Update information relating to all incoming leads
Manage customer details and credit limits on the company’s accounting system (SAGE).
Maintain customer credit limits and credit applications.
Monthly invoicing of new equipment sales
Direct sales responsibility for select key accounts
Manage overdue creditors

Candidate Requirements
Experience requirements:Proven experience in industrial equipment sales and marketing functions.
Experience in managing direct and indirect sales channels.
Experience of sales territory management.
Experience in the South African compressed air market.
Educational requirements:
A Suitable Tertiary qualification or similar through experience
Must have at least two years sales management experience within a capital equipment sales environment.
Personality requirements:
Positive and self-motivated personality, able to motivate and lead a team. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Result driven and passionate about customer satisfaction. Willing to travel within the region and internationally when required.
A valid driver’s license is a requirement.
