Job Title: Commercial Agent: Face to Face Distribution

Overview and Purpose of the Role:
The Commercial Agent: Face to Face Distribution is responsible for expanding and developing the business insurance portfolio through direct client interactions. This role is vital in generating new business sales, providing outstanding client service, and achieving high-performance levels, all while embodying the company's core values.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Actively prospect for new clients through networking, cold calling, and door-to-door canvassing to grow the insurance portfolio.
- Client Relationship Management: Conduct thorough risk evaluations and offer tailored insurance solutions aligned with client needs.
- Sales Performance Tracking: Create and monitor personal business plans to meet or exceed predetermined sales targets.
- Ongoing Client Support: Provide continuous service to clients, including managing amendments, renewals, and claims processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as underwriting, claims, and surveying, to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about developments and trends within the commercial insurance market.
- Team Engagement: Participate in all team meetings and contribute feedback as requested.
Candidate Requirements
Qualification and Experience:
Essential:
- Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate.
- 60 FAIS credits/Full Insurance Qualifications (depending on Date of First Appointment).
- Preference for candidates with completed Financial Services Board Regulatory Exams (RE1) if they have financial services experience before December 2010.
- Completion of 30 FAIS credits for personal lines or 60 FAIS credits for commercial insurance if experienced prior to December 2011.
- Reliable transport and a valid code B driver’s license.
- A minimum of 2 years of external sales experience in the insurance industry.
