A sucessful auditing firm based in Bedfordview is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper.

Duties:

•    processing and reconciling cashbooks
•    processing and reconciling customers and suppliers
•    processing of payroll journals and other journals
•    Basic management reporting to clients when applicable
•    preparation of VAT calculations
•    reconciliations and preparation
•    submission of VAT returns via e-filing
•    Attending to audits from SARS relating to VAT refunds.
•    Experience in trouble shooting and able produce an accurate payroll
•    Finalise all aspects of the payroll function.
•    Experience in OID reporting and mid-year and year end IRP5 processes.
•    to assist with the bookkeeping and administration for various clients
•    Will be reporting to the Accounting Manager

Candidate Requirements

Requirements:

•    understanding of accounting principles
•    with experience in all bookkeeping functions up to Balance Sheet
•    Forex transactional understanding will be a sound advantage.
•    A good understanding of VAT is required,
•    A good understanding of payroll transactions types and the taxability thereof.
•    Experience in OID reporting and mid-year and year end IRP5 processes.
•    Minimum of 8 years’ experience in all bookkeeping functions.
•     Auditing/Accounting Industry (Advantageous)
