- National Diploma in Nursing or related discipline
- Registered Nurse with current SANC registration
- Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
- A minimum of 2 years Private Hospital work experience
- ICU experience and Ventilator trained essential
- Intermediate computer skills, including all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Email)
- drivers license and own transport essential
- Comprehensive clinical nursing experience and clinical credibility
- Capacity to plan and organise schedules and to maintain standards in work team, monitoring conduct and performance
- Developing and maintaining sound relationships with the clients
- Engaging with Nurse Managers and Unit Managers, to identify staff training requirements and assist with proactive solutions
- Attending appropriate meetings at the clinical interface, monitoring trends and record keeping,
- Assisting with the upkeep of the data base
- On going personal development ensuring that knowledge and skills are current to the clinical environment
- Experience in performance management and the disciplinary process and understanding of Basic Conditions of Employment Act
