We seek an experienced Data Engineer / BI Developer proficient in Microsoft SQL and the Microsoft BI technology stack. This is an opportunity for an Intermediate to Senior Developer, who will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining BI solutions.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Completed relevant 3-4 year Diploma or Degree (Honours or Postgraduate Degree preferred), or relevant work experience.
5-8 years of hands-on Data Engineering / BI development experience.
Proficient in Microsoft SQL and the Microsoft BI technology stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI).
Experience with data warehouse design and data modeling.
A strong understanding of ETL processes and best practices.
Can develop, optimize, and troubleshoot ETL jobs.
Familiar with Agile methodologies and practices.

Advantageous:

Experience with Relational Databases, Microsoft SQL & Microsoft SSIS
In-depth understanding of database management systems, OLAP and ETL frameworks
Develop and test extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes
Familiar with Exception and Error handling contingencies and data hospitalisation procedures
Experience with Data mining
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

Work independently and as part of a team in an Agile environment using the Microsoft stack of technologies.
Deliver enhancements and features as requested by the Product Owner.
Develop and execute database queries and conduct analysis.
Report curation and data modeling.
Participation in data warehouse design.
Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes.
Ensure data quality and integrity across the data warehouse and BI solutions.
Optimize and tune ETL processes for efficiency and performance.
Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ensure timely data load and accuracy.
