Managing the branches profitability variables – Costs, sales volumes, price strategies and product mix shifts
Effectively managing the supply chain and stock levels
Implementing warehousing and stock management efficiencies
Monitoring and managing logistic and delivery efficiencies.
Implementing policies, procedures, and administration accuracy measurements
Manage the JHB office staff resource, structure, culture, and remuneration
Ensure following reports/lists on Smart Edge is cleaned up for my branch:
Purchase Order List
Internal Order List
Sales Order List
Back Order List
Stock List
Analyse credit notes passed, and admin related credit notes are monitored.
Analyse GP% by item to ensure all items sold at acceptable margins
Monitor sales and GP% to ensure we are on track to achieve our branch sales budget.
Analyse and evaluation of activities, costs, operations, budgets, and forecast data to determine branch progress towards stated goals and objectives.
Set branch pricing and keep an eye on fluctuating costs to ensure and maintain profitability.
Monitor JHB debtors’ book
Ensure our target of ‘Next day deliveries’ are met by enforcing the use of our ‘next day delivery analysis form’.
Regularly check delivery accuracies
Assist with route management for delivery efficiencies!
Manage vehicle maintenance and licencing.
Ensure inter-branch deliveries from JHB get arranged and managed efficiently
Assist warehouse manager with warehouse operations. (Maintain necessary inventory levels, ordering of local buyouts, route deliveries and collections.)
Maintain branch security, opening and closing of branch if/when warehouse manager not available.
Manage and lead quarterly stock takes – planning, preparation, entering of figures and variance investigation.
Reconcile inventory discrepancies and adjustments.
Helps plan / maintain facility layout to promote safety, security, and productivity while leveraging available space.
Assist warehouse manager with regards to the planning of import containers received, stock split between branches, and communication to our branches with regards to expected containers.
Candidate Requirements
Grade 12 required
3 Year Degree
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Sales Experience – minimum of 4 years
Strong technical skills – Comfortable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Excellent networking & communication skills (verbal and written)
High degree of self-motivation & ambition
Time management & prioritisation skills (good time management, planning and follow-up skills, as well as ability to meet deadlines)
