- Product Design & Development:
- Design and develop new homeware products (duvet covers, comforters, curtains, throws, blankets, scatter cushions) for quarterly product releases.
- Source products internationally , and in-house design studios.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, including fabrication, development, packaging, catalogue presentation, and advertising.
- Printed Products (Duvet Covers, Comforters, Curtains):
- Brief the in-house design studio on design direction.
- Develop prints for the brand and external chain stores.
- Photoshoots:
- Plan and manage product photoshoots, from sample creation to final photo selection for catalogues, marketing materials, and e-commerce.
- Catalogue Production:
- Design and compile catalogues, proofread and finalize before sending for printing.
- Oversee catalogue distribution to sales reps and customers.
- Packaging:
- Design new product packaging and insert cards, ensuring consistency with brand identity.
- Collaborate with the Q.A. team to ensure proper packaging execution.
- Marketing and Merchandising:
- Design point-of-sale materials, adverts, and marketing content.
- Manage showroom displays and website content updates.
- Develop vehicle wraps and manage social media presence (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram).
- Support to Sales Reps & Customers:
- Coordinate sample requests, product images, and mini catalogue creation for sales reps.
- Provide customers with product information, samples, and visual materials.
- Range Review:
- Arrange presentations of new products and designs.
- Use catalogues and samples to showcase product ranges during reviews.
- General Design Work:
- Assist with miscellaneous graphic design projects, including branding, business cards, banners, and print designs for various brands and chain stores.
This role involves end-to-end management of product design, development, and marketing, ensuring that new ranges are innovative, well-presented, and aligned with brand identity.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Product/Fashion Design, Merchandising, or related field.
- 3-5 years experience in product development, merchandising, or homeware/fashion.
Key Skills:
- Design & Creative: Strong skills in product design, printed product development, and familiarity with design software (Adobe Suite).
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, including product lifecycles, catalog creation, and marketing campaigns.
- Photoshoot & Marketing: Experience in coordinating product photoshoots and catalog design.
- Packaging & Merchandising: Knowledge of packaging design, point-of-sale materials, and marketing displays.
- E-commerce: Familiarity with online product presentation, image editing, and website content management.
Soft Skills:
- Creativity & Innovation: Able to introduce fresh ideas while maintaining brand identity.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in product quality, packaging, and catalog accuracy.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication with design teams, suppliers, etc
