Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of an Extrusion Setter. The position will be based at the Thermopac, Cape Town and will report directly to Extrusion HOD.

*MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Setting up for start-up of Extruders.

Conducting safe and efficient tool changes and operating extruders.

Optimizing color changes on the extruder and line clearance done machines.

Running extruder to the BOM requirement.

Monitoring and loading of raw material in the system.

Maintaining equipment to the required standards.

Conducting comprehensive handovers including relevant reports to incoming setters.

Conducting process fault finding to optimize the process and achieve the planned cycle times.

Monitor scrap levels to ensure scrap is not generated or is below standard also ensure machine faults are reported timeously.

Ensuring that BRC standards including health and safety standards are maintained.

Making use of Operations Excellence tools to continuously improve efficiencies.
