Dutton Plastics Engineering is looking for a Branch Manager who will be responsible for leading and overseeing our business-to-business sales activities, developing, and executing sales strategies, and achieving revenue targets in the Western Cape.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Lead the development of comprehensive B2B sales strategies, setting clear objectives and outlining the steps required to achieve them. Ensure alignment with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with the team to implement strategies that promote customer retention.
• Act as an escalation point for challenging issues or complaints, working closely with the team to reach effective resolutions.
• Clearly communicate the unique value proposition of the company's products or services to clients, addressing how they meet their specific needs.
• Utilise historical data and market trends to create accurate sales forecasts for different time frames, aiding in resource planning and goal setting.
• Conduct regular analyses of competitors' sales strategies, pricing, and market positioning to improve the company's own sales approach.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with individual sales team members to provide feedback, track progress, and identify areas for development.
• Generate comprehensive sales reports and dashboards for the management team, providing an overview of performance, achievements, and areas of concern.
• Analyse customer data to identify different customer segments, enabling personalised marketing and sales strategies for each segment.
• Spot emerging market trends and shifts in customer behaviour that could impact sales and propose timely adjustments to the sales strategies.
• Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the B2B sales team. Regularly monitor and analyse sales metrics to assess progress toward strategic goals.
• Uphold and promote the company's values, mission, and vision ,ensuring alignment with the overall organisational culture.
• Lead the B2B sales team through organisational changes, helping them adapt to new initiatives, processes, or strategies.
• Identify high-potential employees and create individualised growth plans to nurture their skills and potential within the organisation.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in consumer behaviour, and share this knowledge with the sales team to enhance their effectiveness.

Candidate Requirements
Experience & Qualification
• Grade 12
• Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
• Microsoft Office and an intermediate level of Excel is a must, including the ability to effectively manipulate, compile and analyse data.
• Proven experience as a B2B Sales Manager or a similar role in the building/hardware industry.
• Strong understanding of the retail building industry.
• Demonstrated success in managing a sales teams and large customer base.
• Ability to develop and drive brand awareness and generate leads.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Result-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• The successful candidate should be willing to visit sites and attend to service calls.
