A medium-sized brokerage in Port Elizabeth is in the market to employ an Administration Assistant. The successful candidate must have completed a matric certificate and be fluent in English and Afrikaans. The position will entail performing a wide range of administrative and office support activities for various positions of the relevant department in order to facilitate the efficient operation of the division but also of the organization as a whole.
Main Duties and Responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
- Typing up of documents
- Compiling of files
- Making copies of documents
- Scanning of Short Term Division Files
- Scanning and electronic saving of various documents
- Filing of files into filing system
- Retrieving of files from filing system
- Preparation of renewal letters
- Prepping pre-renewal loss ratios – personal & commercial lines
- Prepping renewal terms – personal & commercial lines
- Acting as a support function to the Short Term Underwriting Team
- Any further clerical/administrative duties that might be assigned
Required Skills
- Administration: 1 to 2 years
- Ms Excel: 3 to 4 years
Candidate Requirements
Minimum Requirements of the Position:
- Matric Certificate
- 3 year Diploma/Degree Advantageous
- Must live in Port Elizabeth
- Must be computer literate on MS Office Programs, particularly Excel
- Experience in a corporate company Advantageous
- Must be able to read, write and understand Afrikaans
