REQUIREMENTS:
- BCom degree or equivalent
- 2+ years’ post article experience in accounting preferable
- Must have completed SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) articles with an accounting firm
- Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
- Attention to detail
- Meeting critical deadlines
- Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strength and weaknesses of alternative solutions
DUTIES:
- Asset management.
- Stock management and control.
- Assisting FM with management accounts, forecasts and budgets.
- Assist the Financial Manager with analysis of business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, R&D project expenses and provide advice to lab managers.
- Assist the Financial Manager to monitor record-keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology (automation).
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards within the company.
- Report to Financial Manager and MD regarding any anomaly in the finance department.
- Ensuring that access to financial information is always restricted.
- Delegate filing to the appropriate finance staff member to prevent it from accumulating, and to ensure effective filing management.
- Managing the accounting of product development.
HOURS:
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
