Our client is seeking a Building Services Mechanical Engineer (Fire) with a strong background in fire safety and compliance design for multi-disciplinary construction projects, both in South Africa and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop fire safety and compliance designs for various construction projects.

·        Manage small to medium projects independently, and large projects as part of the company's fire design management team.

·        Represent the company in client meetings, site surveys, and meetings.

·        Assist in preparing tender documentation and manage project administration.

Requirements:

·        BTech/BEng in Mechanical Engineering.

·        Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical building services, particularly in fire safety.

·        Expertise in SANS deemed-to-satisfy and rational fire safety design, including firefighting equipment, smoke evacuation, stair pressurization, and sprinkler systems. Thermal modelling experience is advantageous.

·        Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.

·        Must be professionally registered with ECSA or actively pursuing registration.
