Our client is seeking a Contracts Manager to manage the drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administration of contracts for renewable energy projects. The role includes ensuring compliance with South African laws, mitigating legal risks, and providing expert legal advice. The ideal candidate will have strong contract management experience, especially within the renewable energy sector, and excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Draft and negotiate project contracts (PPAs, EPCs, O&Ms) and commercial agreements.

·        Ensure contracts comply with South African regulations.

·        Provide legal and compliance advice across departments.

·        Manage contractual disputes and collaborate with external legal counsel.

·        Mitigate legal, financial, and operational risks in contracts.

Qualifications & Experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).

·        Admitted attorney with 1-3 years post-admission experience.

·        Strong knowledge of South African contract law.

·        Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
