- NQF Level 5 certification in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a relevant trade test certification.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in general maintenance, building facilities management, or construction project management, with at least 3 years in a management role within a 4 or 5-star hotel maintenance department.
- Strong experience in implementing and maintaining Stock Management Control Systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Solid financial acumen.
- In-depth understanding of Health and Safety standards and Environmental Impact Controls; relevant qualifications or experience in these areas are advantageous.
- Technical knowledge of hotel maintenance, including building maintenance, air conditioning systems, refrigeration, plumbing, water supply, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of hot water reticulation systems and pumped sewer systems.
- Highly presentable and professional.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility for weekend and public holiday shifts.
- COVID-19 vaccinated.
- Other rooms division experience
- Fluency in Xhosa and/or Afrikaans advantageous
