KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Senior Officer, Training TMM Equipment Maintenance

The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To develop and implement training programs for technicians and those responsible for the maintenance of mining technical equipment.

You will have the following:

• Facilitation qualification
• Technical qualification (e.g. as Fitter; Boiler maker); Mining qualification
• 5 years’ experience maintaining mining technical equipment
• 2-3 years’ experience in facilitating training
• Fluency in French. Swahili and Mandarin advantageous. English not essential.

You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:

• Familiarity with technical specifications and operating requirements of mining technical machinery
• Familiarity with stakeholders
• Assessor principles
• MS Office
• Isometrics

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop training programs for operators of primary and secondary mining technical equipment, and for technicians and those responsible for the maintenance of mining technical equipment
• Implement newly-developed mining technical training programs
• Assist in the implementation of the Training Centre’s basic skills training program
• Function as a subject matter expert on mining technical machinery and equipment
