We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join a dynamic hardware team. The successful candidate will coordinate data transfer between suppliers and developers, ensure effective communication on critical issues, support development and R&D procurement, produce cost estimates, update data packs, conduct testing and debugging, and contribute to the design and optimization of production procedures and equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Industrializing Hardware Designs: Optimize designs for scalability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness while addressing technical challenges during the transition from design to production.
Liaison Role: Serve as the primary contact between suppliers and developers to facilitate communication on critical issues, particularly regarding engineering design changes and production adjustments.
Procurement Support: Assist with procurement activities for development and R&D, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to align procurement needs with design and production objectives.
Cost Estimation: Generate and update cost estimates for development and production activities to contribute to accurate budgeting and financial forecasting.
Production Data Packs: Develop, maintain, and update production data packs, ensuring detailed manufacturing data and procedures are current and communicated to product owners.
Packaging Management: Create and manage packaging materials and documentation for production and shipment.
Production Procedure Enhancement: Review and improve production procedures, contributing to process optimization and documentation from a manufacturing perspective.
Verification Procedures: Develop and implement verification procedures (e.g., Acceptance Test Procedures, Hardware Test Procedures, Qualification Test Procedures) to ensure all production-related documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Test Equipment Design: Assist in designing and producing test equipment, tools, and production aids to meet manufacturing process requirements.
Staff Training: Train production staff on new products, tools, and processes to ensure smooth transitions from design to production.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and product enhancements, promoting Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to improve efficiency and product quality.
Additional Support: Perform minor support roles within the company as required.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

BTech Degree / Advanced Diploma in Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

Recommended Skills and Experience:

2-3 years of experience in an electronic assembly production environment.
Familiarity with production procedures and documentation.
Knowledge of industry-standard ERP systems (ideally Odoo).
Understanding of verification procedures (ATP, HTP, QTP) is desirable.
Mechanical design skills and experience with packaging artifacts are advantageous.

Strong team collaboration skills for large projects.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
High standard of communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
