The Human Resource Manager’s function will report directly to the Financial Manager and will have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the CEO. As part of the team, the individual will bring a strong foundation of HR generalist knowledge and expertise. Responsibilities will include talent acquisition, succession and workforce planning, performance management, and employee development. The HR manager will leverage technology effectively and provide coaching to support the achievement of business objectives. Working with a significant degree of independence, the individual will create processes and policies to meet goals in alignment with overall business strategies. Additionally, they will implement a Human Resource Business Plan that aligns with the company and brand strategies to deliver HR services that drive business success.

Translate business priorities into actionable Human Resources strategies and plans for the company.
Implement and maintain Human Resources initiatives at the company level.
Coordinate the human capital review process and leads succession planning efforts as needed.
Create value through proactive strategies that impact performance outcomes.
Lead succession management and workforce planning efforts.
Responsible for the execution of Human Resources strategy.
Act as a key change manager for initiatives that significantly impact employees.
Participate in client meetings, providing context for Human Resources metrics (such as retention rates and employee satisfaction).
Identify opportunities for optimizing work processes and staffing.
Make staffing decisions to manage the talent pool effectively.
Ensure staff fulfils their duties and responsibilities as outlined in their job descriptions.
Reinforce positive employee relations practices consistently.
Develop strategies and resources to manage change effectively, demonstrating flexibility and positively communicating the need for change.
Actively listen and employ appropriate communication styles to clearly convey complex information, influencing others to act or reach consensus.

Capable of conducting training needs assessments, developing programs, and effectively delivering training.

Competent in report writing and communication.

Candidate Requirements
Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Qualifications:
National Diploma or Degree in HR from reputable institutions
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years as a HR Manager
Skills:
Conflict resolution management
Policy and process development
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Understanding of relevant legislation (EE, UIF, Bargaining Councils, BBBEE)
Entrepreneurial and service-focused mindset
Strong administrative capabilities
Effective planning and organizational skills
Proactive and initiative-driven
Ability to uphold confidentiality
