Hire Resolve is currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Representative to join a leading logistics company. As a Sales Rep, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the logistics sector. Your role will involve building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, presenting logistics solutions, and negotiating contracts.
Your ability to understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly will be key to your success. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential clients in logistics and supply chain industries.
- Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities and assess client needs.
- Support the Business Development Team in onboarding new clients.
- Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the client base.
- Create sales plans aligned with company business objectives and market trends.
- Assist regions in formalizing quotes for new business.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
- Understand clients’ logistics needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of logistics solutions.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Provide feedback on market demands and client preferences.
- Track sales performance metrics like sales volume, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and sales activities.
- Compile tenders in line with company protocols.
- Provide management with monthly client statistics.
- Send supporting documents (credit applications and STC’s) for client completion.
- File signed rates on the marketing drive.
- Send signed rates to the region and assign an operation controller to manage the account.
- Assist in designing and reviewing annual standard tariff tables.
- Monitor costs before loading on systems to ensure margins are met.
- Calculate and send the company fuel levy adjustments to clients and log tickets on dimension data for fuel levy loading.
- Update clients' rate cards with new published levies.
- Ensure signed rates are loaded via dimension data, send tickets to users, and verify completion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field
- 5-7 years of successful sales experience in the logistics or transportation industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Willingness to travel as needed
