We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Accountant to drive the financial operations of the company. In this role you will report to the Financial Manager to ensure the Finance Department continues to operate effectively and provide assistance and guidance to all the relevant departments.

Job description:

• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare monthly financial schedules for departments
• Financial reporting in IFRS for SME’s and management reporting
• Audit preparation
• Managing SARS and other statutory requirements and submissions, such as monthly VAT and PAYE returns for submission on E-filing
• Creditor and debtor management
• Inventory processing

• Implementation of new financial processes
• Cash management

• Import and export administration
• Contribute and assist the Financial Manager and CFO in development and management of the Finance function

• General administration

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Completed Articles will be advantageous
• 3+ years’ experience as an Accountant
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to understand and manipulate financial models
• Experience working with Sage Intacct will be advantageous

Soft Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Good communication skills - must be able to communicate on all levels
• Able to work under pressure and independently
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans, both written and oral
