Maintaining relationships with vendors, including negotiating contracts and reviewing contracts for legal compliance
Getting quotes for non-stock and stock items not on MRP.
Getting quotes and contracts for creating purchase orders and ensuring that they are in line with company policies and procedures
Recommending new suppliers and negotiating supplier contracts to ensure that all terms are met
Preparing reports on expenditures and analysing trends in spending to identify areas of potential waste or abuse
Negotiating contract terms with vendors, including price, delivery schedule, and payment terms
Following up with vendors to ensure that orders are delivered on time and within budget parameters
Coordinating with internal departments to ensure that orders are processed correctly

A diploma in supply chain management and logistics.
In depth knowledge of product specifications.
Knowledge of all the legislation, standards, policies and procedures mentioned in this document.
Knowledge in reading and understanding the raw material market.
Certificate of Operational Excellence ( Pass all ten modules)
