Candidate Requirements

Responsibilities

·        Comprehensive credit research on various entities using a variety of sources, including but not limited to,

o   Obtaining trade references and bank codes

o   using existing data sources to integrate information into the Debtsource system.

o   Obtaining financial statements from the subject.  This includes the ability to understand and capture relevant information required for the limit-decisioning process.

o   Conducting subject interviews to validate data obtained.

o   Utilizing all other potential data sources to ensure all factors regarding the subject are considered.

·        Validating the accuracy of the data to ensure that it produces correct information.

Skills Required

•         Proficiency, being written and verbal communications in English and Afrikaans would be advantageous.
•         Excellent communication skills at all levels of management as well as telephone etiquette.
•         Understanding and ability to assess financial statements as well as management accounts.
•         Organizational and time management skills.
•         A systematic and methodical approach to research, ensuring accuracy and reliability of information.
•         Capable of gathering, analyzing and interpreting data from various sources to support the decision-making process.
•         Ability to ensure that all work is completed with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and minimizing errors.
•         A credit management or financial qualification would be advantageous.
