Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating delicious and high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and overseeing all aspects of food preparation. The Chef will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen operates efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare high-quality and visually appealing dishes
- Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and regulations
- Oversee and direct kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking
- Monitor food inventory and assist in ordering supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Develop new menu items and specials
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Collaborate with management to create and update menus
- Manage food costs and budget effectively
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
- Culinary degree or certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Creative and innovative approach to cooking
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
