The main purpose of the Head Project Management Office is to take overall responsibility for the client collaboration, planning, and execution of activities to ensure the successful delivery of project management solutions and to ensure effective project communications for all projects delivered in South African and African Business Units.
The Head-PMO is accountable for leading and shaping the selection, investment, prioritization, and execution of projects. Leading a team to guide the successful delivery of programs and projects through the provision of strategic and operational support, including reporting, risk and issue tracking, quality control, and benefits tracking and reporting.
Candidate Requirements
- Matric and relevant tertiary diploma/degree
- Project Management qualification
- PMP or PgMP certification
- Computer literacy levels are required in the MS Office suite and applicable project management applications.
- Six Sigma or Lean designation advantageous
- Experience in ICT Application development
- At least 10 years of work experience in PMO Management, Project and Program, or senior management
- Experience in leading a project management team
- Experience in budget management
- Experience in facilitating meetings and consultations with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
- Experience in the Payments and Banking industry will be an advantage
