ROLE OVERVIEW
The goal of the Product and Compliance Support Specialist is to:
Provide the necessary and accurate trade compliance information on shipments and effectively communicate
product and compliance solutions to internal stakeholders within the business, whilst also developing optimized, strategic and accurate solutions through data utilization and research tools.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Providing expertise on product classification associated with imports and exports and the HTS Codes and compliance legislation
• Sourcing product compliance documents and testing certificates
• Ensuring successful and timeous shipment clearance and excellent client service by creating optimized, accurate and sound product and compliance solutions
• Where the automated systems fail, providing accurate and timeous product classification and compliance requirements on shipments
• An appreciation and understanding of overall underlying system data to establish data-driven decision-making
• Creating optimized workflows to scale work, provide accurate information as quickly as possible and improve processes.
• This will involve utilizing and developing tools by working closely with the IP Systems Team
• Identifying IP system improvements to facilitate scaling and excellent client service and effectively communicate these findings to the IP Systems Team

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Mathematics in high school
• Bachelors degree (Business or STEM focused)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
• Strong academic track record required
