Responsibilities:
1. Plan and prepare a variety of dishes according to the menu and client preferences
2. Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes
3. Oversee and manage kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
4. Order and maintain inventory of food and cooking supplies
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
6. Develop new menu items and recipes as needed
7. Monitor food costs and work towards maximizing profitability
8. Collaborate with management to create seasonal menus and special event menus
9. Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques
10. Stay current on industry trends and innovations in cooking techniques
Requirements:
1. Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
2. Culinary school diploma or equivalent certification
3. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills
5. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
7. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
8. Knowledge of food safety regulations
9. Experience in menu planning and development
10. Creative and innovative approach to cooking
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working in a high-volume restaurant or catering establishment
2. Certification in food safety and sanitation
3. Proficiency in multiple cuisines and cooking techniques
4. Experience with menu costing and budgeting
